Preferences of Serbian consumers towards different pepper fruits

Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of the major vegetable species in world. In Balkan cuisines, as well Serbia, pepper has a very diverse use. Knowledge about consumer preferences great importance for breeding process market-orientated production. Because lack information towards types, Serbian market, present research was conducted. Four hundred and two participants, classified into groups, according to gender, age education, answered survey questions. According this research, most preferred type Serbia kapia, while bell second chosen type. Also, it revealed that favourite colour fruit red. There tendency higher rather than colour. The highest percentage hot consumers prefers medium peppers. obtained trend shows women generally prefer less spicy fruits men.
